"You are scared. The questions flooding your mind seem to never stop. Your child is your world, but what will their world be now that they are "different" or "special" or any of the other words used to describe a child like yours? You have read everything you can get your hands on. You literately have made it to the end of the internet. You have spoken to everyone that will listen. For that matter, you have spoken to everyone that won't listen. Your journey is stuck and you haven't even begun.
Somehow everything you have done has lead you to this review. My hope is your child has the fortune to work with Maureen Olsen, for my son did, and now the world has opened to infinite possibilities. We met through a mutual acquaintance. My son was already being tutored by others and started plateauing after two years in those environments. The initial gains he made from others had stopped and in some cases regressed. It was clear to my wife and me we needed to make a change.
The three of us met her and Maureen and my son hit it off as well as you could hope. My wife and I believed this felt right. We jumped right in. We empowered her with the keys to my son's future. We decided to meet several times a week. She was steady, patient, thoughtful, and unwilling to give in to my son's deficiencies. Through her WILSON TEACHINGS they set out to change his course. She became my son's champion.
Her ability to help my wife and I also played a major role in his success. The communication (through calls, emails, and speaking with his teachers) illuminated and alleviated concerns we had. Through her support we learned to be his biggest advocates. She helped us understand when to fight and when to let things go. She made it possible for us to become comfortable enough to say, "I don't know...We need help."
My son is now in 5th grade. He is without a doubt the smartest of my three children. His intellect is higher than most of his classmates. If you were to meet him you would notice he isn't a great speller and he will always be a slow reader. However, you would also notice he is confident. He reads for enjoyment. Gone are the days when homework was met with tears. He is the first to put his hand up in class. There are not enough days in the week for him to play with all his friends. I have always known he is amazing, unfortunately he didn't think so before he met Maureen, now he does.
Somehow his journey brought Maureen into his life and his life into hers. Together they unlocked a young boy who now knows no limits. I hope for the same with your child."

"Maureen, It's hard for me to put into words how thankful I am for you. You came along when I was feeling somewhat hopeless with his reading and the progress he's made with you over the past months has been nothing short of amazing! I appreciate how much work you put in behind the scenes to specialize the work specifically to him. You always meet him exactly where he is at with a smile on your face. You are such a special person and we will always be so grateful for you!"

"Thank you again for all of your help. He really enjoys working with you and he feels so much more confident in himself. He felt so comfortable working with you since day one and this really made it so much easier for him.

"I AM SO IMPRESSED! Thanks so much - he really made great progress...and everyone's efforts were so worth it! He is texting his friends without using spell check or abbreviations - he's actually reading and spelling accurately!"
